Starting in supported constructive rest (you may want to have a couple pillows or a rolled blanket/towel handy), we drop into the primary curves of the body, noticing if it’s possible to settle in these spaces rather than constrict or pull on them. From this foundation, we pivot to movement sequences that invite the secondary curves of the spine for movement. Throughout class, we open the side body, particularly the lower torso from pelvic crest to lower ribs. Poses include: Crescent Moon, Runner’s Lunge, Side Plank, Extended Side Angle, Tree Pose, supported Head-to-Knee and Revolved, all with variations.
