The centering portion of class guides awareness from the periphery/limbs to the center of the body. We bring awareness to the ankles and shins from different vantage points throughout class, particularly allowing the front of the ankle to be available and moveable while the heel releases away from the ankle in the back line. Emphasis is also placed on connecting to the ground through the lateral foot. Poses include: W1, Extended side angle, Dancer, Half Wide Leg Angle, Butterfly, Foot Press and Hip Roll, Happy Baby variation, Bridge.
