As we approach the winter season, there is an invitation to slow down and make space for deep rest. Centering practice invites you to notice the areas in your body that would like to rest (without forcing the rest to come). Throughout class we pursue small movement vignettes to allow energy to flow, and then pause to allow integration. This back and forth creates the conditions for replenishment and rest. Body focus is on the back line of the leg including hamstrings and outer hips. Poses include: Table variations, Locust, Forward Fold, Lunging Twist, Head to Knee Pose, Figure Four, and Side Rolling.
