Proper support often leads to greater freedom. We begin with settling and centering, particularly aiming to offer self-directed hands-on support to an area of the body that would like it. We continue to play with the idea of support as class continues, next focusing on the orbits of the eyes and how this effects our visual processing. As we move into the main yoga flows of the class, one side of the body is encouraged to tone and support the rest of or other side of the body in a variety of poses including: dropped lunge, W2, Extended Side Angle, various one leg balances. We close carrying the same principles from standing practice into semi-supine.
