This hourlong practice focuses on basic yet powerful principles of the Alexander Technique and Yoga including: constructive rest practice to rejuvenate and support spinal health, gentle movements that take us from fixity and habit into more ease and freedom, and groundwork that invites balance between strength and flexibility. Poses and explorations include: constructive rest, seated warm-up and 6 movements of the spine, Butterfly, Table, Drawbridge, Child’s Pose, Gentle Warrior 2 and Lunges, Downhill Skier, Forward Fold, Tree Pose, Reclined Pigeon.
