Primary Curves of Support 1/21/2023
Attune Yoga Long Practices
•
1h 3m
In this practice, we begin by resting into the primary curves of the body such as the back of the head, the thoracic spine, pelvis and heels. We call these primary curves, referencing back to the rounded, curled shape that babies have — it is from these primary curves that movement then begins to build and take shape, creating secondary curves such as in the low back and back of the neck. Poses include: child’s pose from different vantage points, side plank, low lunge with twist, goddess, seated twist, star, and figure 8/rolling.
