Drawing from Somatic Experiencing™️ principles, class focuses on taking time to find our center, and attending to what is happening moment-to-moment in the nervous system. The intention is to watch and support the rhythmic waves of gentle activation and deactivation. Movement sequences follow this theme by lengthening the limbs away from the torso while maintaining the center line of the torso and spine as well as exploring availability in the joints. Poses include, child’s pose, low lunge, W2, reverse warrior, pyramid against the wall, and various free flowing movements with both the arms and balancing through freedom in the joints.
