Centering practice focuses on somatic pendulation — moving attention from positive or neutral aspects of experience to less ideal aspects. Another way of thinking about this is to move attention from flow areas to fixed areas and back to flow, noticing the totality of the experience. This theme carries into the movement practice where we look for small or big “flow” energy within poses. Movements and poses include: seated warm-up, Thread the Needle, Lunge to Warrior 2 transitions, Gate, Modified W2 and Side Angle, Sun Salutes, Seated Half Wide Leg Forward Fold and variations, Boat, Blossoming Lotus, Swaying Bridge.
